Nexif Ratch Energy receives Certificate of Energy Project of National Significance for the 475MW Lucena Offshore Wind Project
Nexif Ratch Energy is pleased to announce that its Lucena Offshore Wind Project, a landmark 475MW offshore wind power development in Quezon province, has been granted the Certificate of Energy Project of National Significance (CEPNS) by the Department of Energy (DOE) of the Philippines.
This certification is a major milestone for Nexif Ratch Energy, recognizing the Lucena Offshore Wind Project as a key contributor to the country’s energy transition. The CEPNS facilitates faster government approvals and streamlined processes, ensuring efficient development and construction. This move underscores the Philippines’ strong commitment to advancing clean and sustainable energy solutions and supports the country’s ambitious renewable energy goals.
“We are thrilled to receive the Certificate of Energy Project of National Significance for our Lucena Offshore Wind Project and we fully support the government’s efforts to accelerate offshore wind development,” said Cyril Dissescou, CEO of Nexif Ratch Energy. “This recognition highlights the importance of our project in the Philippines’ energy landscape and also emphasizes the continued support we receive from the Philippines’ government.”
This follows the company’s earlier award of CEPNS status to our 500MW San Miguel Bay Offshore Wind Project in Camarines Sur province.
“We are proud of the strong partnership and ongoing support we have received from the Philippine government in advancing renewable energy projects,” said Matthew Bartley, Chairman of the Development Committee at Nexif Ratch Energy. “The Lucena Offshore Wind Project, alongside the San Miguel Bay Offshore Wind Project, represents a significant step toward achieving a sustainable energy future for the Philippines. We are making steady progress developing these projects to be ready for the upcoming Green Energy Auction Program (GEAP).”
